Mzansi left speechless after Matshidiso was spotted with Kwaito from Skeem Saam

Clement Maosa is one of Mzansi’s most loved TV actors. He currently plays the charming, and sometimes messy, Zamokuhle “Kwaito” Seakamela on SABC1’s Skeem Saam.

On screen, Kwaito is known for finding himself in a complicated love triangle with Elizabeth “Lizzy” and Glenda, which has earned him the “womanizer” tag from fans. But off screen, is Clement really like his character?

Here’s a closer look at the man behind Kwaito.

Early Life And Humble Beginnings

Clement Maosa was born and raised on the outskirts of Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa. Life growing up was not easy. His father worked as a farmworker and his mother worked as a domestic worker, so money was tight in the Maosa household.

Because his parents were away working most of the time, Clement was largely raised by his older sister, Matilda.

She played a big role in shaping him during his childhood. Those early struggles would later fuel his determination to build a better life for himself and his family.

Education: Studying Law On R2 Noodles

Despite the challenges at home, Clement was focused on school. He went on to study Law at the University of Limpopo and graduated with an LLB degree.

Varsity life was tough. He has spoken openly about going for days without proper food and surviving mainly on R2 packets of noodles.

Four years of financial stress, late nights, and sacrifice eventually paid off when he graduated. That LLB may not be what he practices today, but Clement says the discipline from law school helped him in the entertainment industry.

Career Breakthrough: How Kwaito Was Born

Clement’s entry into acting sounds like something out of a movie. He saw an advert for Skeem Saam auditions and decided to try. The problem? He had no money to get to Johannesburg, and no family or friends to borrow from.

He called the casting director to explain that he couldn’t afford to come. Instead of closing the door, the director urged him to find a way. A stranger eventually gave him R350 for transport.

After the audition, Clement still didn’t have money to go home. In what he calls “divine intervention,” the production team put him up in a guest room while they made their final decision. Not long after, he was handed a stack of scripts. That was the moment he knew he had booked the role of Kwaito.

Since joining Skeem Saam, Clement has become a household name. His portrayal of Kwaito confident, funny, and often caught between two women has made him one of the show’s most talked about characters. His acting has also earned him a SAFTA nomination, proving that his talent goes beyond soapie drama.

Outside of acting, Clement has also tried his hand at radio DJing, which has added another stream of income to his career.

Success Story: Ferrari, Mansion And Millions

Clement’s journey is often described as “from rags to riches.” Today he is counted among Mzansi’s richest young actors. He made headlines after showing off a Ferrari and a multi-million rand mansion a far cry from the R2 noodles days.

His current estimated net worth is around R2 million, with most of it coming from acting, brand deals, and radio work. More importantly, he says his biggest pride is being able to take care of his family and give back to the people who supported him early on.

Kwaito vs Clement: Is He A Player In Real Life?

Because of Kwaito’s storylines, many fans wonder if Clement is the same in real life. The actor has addressed this before, saying that while he enjoys playing a ladies’ man on TV, his personal life is very different. He prefers to keep his relationships private and focuses on his career, family, and growth.

What’s Next For Clement Maosa

With a SAFTA nomination under his belt and years of experience on one of SA’s biggest shows, Clement is not slowing down. Fans can expect to see more of him both on screen and behind the scenes as he builds his brand beyond Skeem Saam.

From sharing R2 noodles in a Limpopo res to driving a Ferrari in Johannesburg, Clement Maosa’s story is proof that hard work, faith, and one brave audition call can change everything.

Clement Maosa was spotted with Matshidiso Matlida a Limpopo social media influencer who’s been trending in the last few days on Social media after her leaked with in appropriate way with famous dancer and artist Limpopo Boy. Watch their picture:
