Swift Worldwide Logistics is offering a structured learnership opportunity for an individual who wants to build a career in airfreight operations within a professional freight forwarding environment.
This role is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and serious about developing operational competence in international logistics.
The successful candidate will be trained across the full airfreight operations lifecycle, working closely with experienced controllers and operations management.
What You Will Learn
Under supervision and formal training, you will gain exposure to:
Airfreight import and export processes
Booking cargo with airlines and handling agents
Waybill creation (HAWB & MAWB)
CargoWise file registration and job management
Coordination with airlines, ground handlers, transporters, and clients
Documentation requirements (commercial invoices, packing lists, permits)
Basic customs and compliance principles
Tracking, reporting, and exception handling
Professional communication with internal teams and customers
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) – compulsory
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Basic computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to follow processes and instructions
Willingness to learn and accept feedback
Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct
Advantageous (Not Essential)
Tertiary qualification or studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business
Prior exposure to freight forwarding, logistics, or aviation
Familiarity with CargoWise (even at a basic level)
