TS Galaxy have parted ways with striker Samir Nurkovic with just a few days left ahead of transfer window closure

TS Galaxy and striker Samir Nurkovic have parted ways by mutual consent, according to a statement from the club’s chairman, Tim Sukazi. The decision was made after careful consideration by both parties, who felt that their strategic goals had taken a different turn.

Nurkovic joined TS Galaxy a year ago from Kaizer Chiefs and has since made 29 appearances, scoring 10 goals. Despite his decent performance, the club and the player have decided to go their separate ways. Sukazi praised Nurkovic as a top professional who has served the club with distinction and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The departure comes just days before TS Galaxy’s opening Betway Premiership fixture against Richards Bay on Sunday afternoon. Nurkovic is hoping to stay in the Premier Soccer League, but there has been no mention of a possible suitor yet.

It is worth noting that Nurkovic still has an outstanding matter with Royal AM, who owe him R12 million for terminating his contract prematurely two years ago. The case is still pending at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
