South African artist Naledi Aphiwe has alerted her fans and promoters that her official booking cellphone number has been hacked and is being used for fraudulent activities.
In a recent Facebook post, the singer expressed her disappointment and urged the public not to fall victim to scams, emphasizing the importance of trusting only verified details.
According to a statement released by Naledi Music Group, an unauthorized individual is impersonating Naledi’s management and has misled a promoter into making arrangements for an illegitimate booking using the compromised number 072 693 9541 and Capitec Account Number 2066879823. The scammer has been identified as Xolani Keitumetse Chiloane, whose phone number is 0764952590.
The management has announced a R10 000 cash reward for anyone providing information that leads to the apprehension of the scammer. They have instructed the investigating officer on +2760809601 to handle tips related to the case.
Naledi Aphiwe’s team advises that all official bookings and business engagements should only be conducted through the verified email bookings@nalediaphiwe.com. They also urge promoters and stakeholders to verify all booking communications directly with the management team before making any commitments or payments.
The artist apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their support and awareness in helping combat the scam. Fans are encouraged to be cautious and report any suspicious activity related to the hacked number.
