Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly shown interest in signing in-form Yanga Africans and Burkina Faso attacking midfielder ahead of the new season.
Several reports have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs are one of the clubs who have made an enquiry about the availability of Aziz Ki.
The 28-year-old midfielder previously worked with Nasreddine Nabi before and it looks like the coach is looking to reunite with the highly-rated attacker before the 2024/25 season starts.
A source stated that Nasreddine Nabi wants to sign experienced players in the attacking department. The Tunisian coach has faith in Aziz Ki and has asked the Kaizer Chiefs management to fight for the player’s signature.
Other positions Nasreddine Nabi wants to feel is the goalkeeper position, left back position, midfielder and also a striker. Amakhosi have already sealed the deal with TS Galaxy over their goalkeeper.
The club also signed Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, however, the left back player is now injured and they are looking for another left back before the season starts.
AZIZ KI LINKED WITH A NUMBER OF CLUBS

The Burkina Faso attacking midfielder is not only targeted by Kaizer Chiefs, however, there is a tight competition in the race as other top clubs in Africa have shown interest.
Betway Premiership Clubs Mamelodi Sundowns are Orlando Pirates are also interested in the player. Wydad Casablancaʼs newly appointed head coach Rulani Mokwena has also made an enquiry about Aziz Ki.
Egyptian giants, Pyramids, are also interested in signing the player as they are looking to stay on top in Egypt.
AZIZ KI POSITION IN THE FIELD
The player is labeled as a complete attacking midfielder, however, he can fit in very well in the left wing position. The 28-year-old can play also as a right winger.
Amakhosi does not have much experienced attacking midfielders at the moment. The likes of Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo have not gained much experience in the senior division.
Christian Saile, Ashley Du Preez and Ranga Chivaviro are the players who are a little bit more experienced and could give Aziz Ki a competition.
AZIZ KI BACKGROUND
The 28-year-old has a Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast citizenship. He is a left foot player who started his football career in Spain where he represented the development team of Rayo Vallecano.
He officially joined San Roque Lepe back in July 2015 on a free transfer. Unfortunately, the club released him a year later.
After parting ways with San Roque Lepe, he was then a free-agent for about six months before joining the Cyprus giants Omonia Nicosia. While he was still in Cyprus, he also played for Aris Limassol and Nea Salamis.
Aziz Ki also spent three years in Ivory Coast, where he represented AFAD Djekanou and ASEC Mimosas.
He is now under the books of the Tanzanian giants, Yanga Africans. The midfielder joined the club from ASEC Mimosas two years ago on a free transfer.
Overall, the midfielder has played for eight clubs in four different countries in his football career.
