Gaston Sirino became the latest player to wear the Kaizer Chiefs famous jersey number 10, joining the list of the most highly-rated players who wore the jersey over the past ten years.
The likes of Siyabonga Nkosi, Mthokozisi Yende, Siphelele Ntshangase, Keagan Buchanan and Keagan Dolly are some of the players who wore the jersey number, which now belongs to Gaston Sirino.
Here is the list of players who wore the famous jersey number 10 at Kaizer Chiefs starting from 2009/10 season.
Mthokozisi Yende (2009-2012)

The 40-year-old joined the Glamour Boys from University of Pretoria with so much high hopes, however, he did not have a great stay at Amakhosi.
The Tembisa born star did not make that much impact at Kaizer Chiefs. He spent three year at the Soweto giants before being loaned to Maritzburg united in order to revive his football career.
After returning from loan the Team Of Choice, Yende was released by the club and joined Free State Stars on a free transfer.
Apart from University of Pretoria, Kaizer Chiefs, Free State Stars and Maritzburg united, Mthokozisi Yende also represented Moroka Swallows, Mpumalanga Black Aces and the ABC Motsepe League side, Baberwa fc.
Mthokozisi Yende has retired from professional. He retired at Baberwa fc, where they were participating in the 3rd division.
Siyabonga Nkosi (2012-2015)

Siyabonga Nkosi remains as one of the best players to ever wear the Gold and Black jersey in the past 20 years. The attacking midfielder wore the jersey for three years before retiring from the professional football.
The 42-year-old was sold by Amakhosi to the German side, Armenia Bielefeld back in 2006 for a fee which was around €350 000.
He spent two years in Europe before returning to the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) where he joined Supersport united. The player joined Lamontville Golden Arrows a year later.
Nkosi spent just two years at the Lamontville based side before rejoining Kaizer Chiefs, where he spent three years.
The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder retired after spending three years at Amakhosi. He announced his retirement from the professional football back in January 2016.
Keagan Buchanan (2016-2018)

Keagan Buchanan joined Kaizer Chiefs from Bloemfontein Celtic back in July 2016 after impressing at the Siwelele side.
The 32-year-old became the fan’s favourite instantly as he was labeled as one of the top midfielders in South Africa back then.
Unfortunately, the player spent just two years at Amakhosi. During that short period of time, he played some of the matches in the reserve team as he was barely used in the senior team.
He joined Maritzburg united two years later on a free transfer. Buchanan is now playing for the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Cape Town Spurs.
The talented midfielder also played for Amazulu during his time in the top flight.
Siphelele Ntshangase (2018-2021)

When the Glamour boys signed Siphelele Ntshangase, the internet went wild as the player was the signing Amakhosi supporters have been begging for.
Kaizer Chiefs supporters were calling for the clubʼs management to sign Ntshangase from Black Leopards, however, he ended up joining Baroka. Amakhosi then signed him six months later after joining the Bakgaga ko Mphahlele side.
Apon his arrival, a lot was expected from the player. Unfortunately, he could not deliver as the pressure was too much, he ended up being sidelined by the clubʼs technical team due to his average performance.
The player asked to be released by the club in 2021 due to the lack of game-time.
Siphelele Ntshangase is currently a free-agent and has been struggling to find a new club for over a year now.
Keagan Dolly (2021-2024)

After spending years in the French top tier, Keagan Dolly returned to South Africa and signed with Kaizer Chiefs on a free transfer.
Despite spending most of his time in the sideline due to injuries at Amakhosi, Keagan Dolly was one of the key players at the club.
Unfortunately, the player left Amakhosi during this transfer window as they could not reach an agreement over a new contract.
He is currently a free-agent and has been linked with Supersport united, Richards Bay fc and also Amazulu.
Gaston Sirino (2024)

The 33-year-old is the latest player to wear the number jersey. He signed a two year contract with the Soweto giants.
He will be looking forward to working with the clubʼs new technical team ahead of the new season.
Sirino joined Amakhosi on a free transfer.
