Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat could return to Betway Premiership after spending few months in Zimbabwe.
According to several reports, Cape Town City have enquiried about the availability of the Zimbabwean international as they are looking to beef up their squad.
The 33-year-old recently left the South African Premier Soccer League after receiving no offer from PSL Clubs. The player received an offer from Yadah, which was not the offer the player was hoping for.
Despite not being satisfied by the offer he received from the Zimbabwean giants, Khama Billiat decided to sign the deal with the club as he was looking to revive his football career.
The midfielder decided against signing a new contract with Amakhosi last season after the club offered him a new contract which had a salary reduction. Khama Billiat felt he could seal a better offer elsewhere, however, no club approached the player that time.
CAPE TOWN CITY SHOW INTEREST IN BILLIAT

Latest reports have now revealed that the Cape Town based side are looking to bring Khama Billiat back to South Africa before the 2024/25 season starts.
The 33-year-old has been one of the best players in the Zimbabwean Premiership this season. He is one of the top goalscorers in the league and they are currently sitting in the 9th position, 16 points behind the log leaders, Platinum.
Cape Town City could lose Khanyisa Mayo in this transfer window as many clubs in South Africa and abroad have already shown interest in signing the player. Cape Town City boss stated that they have no intension of selling Khanyisa Mayo to local clubs.
Despite the age gap, Khama Billiat would be a great replacement for Khanyisa Mayo at The Citizens as Khama knows the culture of South African football.
Not only is Cape Town City interested in signing Khama Billiat, it has been revealed that the Tanzanian giants, Yanga Africans, have also been keeping a close eye on the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder.
Yanga Africans are now regulars in the African competitions and will need more experienced players in order to dominate in Africa.
Khama Billiat has already won the CAF Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns. The 33-year-old has also reached the CAF Champions League final with Kaizer Chiefs. Unfortunately, they lost the cup to the Egyptian giants, Al Ahly SC.
KHAMA BILLIATʼS POSITION IN THE FIELD
Khama Billiat is a player can play almost every position in the attacking department. The 33-year-old is a natural right winger, however, he can also play as a left winger, attacking midfielder and also as a striker.
He has played more than 100 games as a right winger and also 90 games as an attacking midfielder.
KHAMA BILLIATʼS BACKGROUND
The former Zimbabwean international was born and raised in Zimbabwe. He arrived in South Africa 14 years ago after sealing a deal with Ajax Cape Town (now known as Cape Town Spurs).
He spent three years at Ajax Cape Town before joining Mamelodi Sundowns. Billiat spent five years at Masandawana before leaving the club as a free-agent.
After parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, Khama Billiat joined Kaizer Chiefs as a free-agent and also spent five years at the Glamour boys.
